Welcoming Kyle Klein as the New Young Professional Liaison for ISRM Canada Chapter

The ISRM Canada Chapter is delighted to announce the appointment of Kyle Klein as our new Young Professional Liaison. This strategic addition to our team signifies our commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders in strategic risk management and related fields.

 

Kyle Klein has over 12 years of experience in the security industry and has led teams and developed programs within the public and private sectors, including higher education, healthcare and, most recently, at leading tech organizations, Wealthsimple and Shopify, at senior management levels.

Kyle is a recognized Global Security professional and brings unique expertise in the fields of Physical Security, Security Risk Management, and Protective Intelligence. Kyle has been responsible for diverse programs in these roles, including Physical Security Technology and Systems, Guard Force Management, Threat Risk Vulnerability Assessments, Travel Security, Executive Protection, Event Security, GSOCs and Protective Intelligence.

Kyle is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through ASIS International and sits on several industry boards and committees. Kyle has a business degree from Western University and a certificate in Emergency Management, Threat, and Response Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University.

 

Key Highlights:

 

  • Strategically developed a security plan, in conjunction with the RCMP for Prine Minister Trudeau during a 5000 attendee Shopify partner event.
  • Collaborate with Martha Stewart’s team to ensure the safe travel to a merchant event in New York City. Included developing a close protection plan for Martha during the event and intelligence monitoring for online threats.
  • Responsibility for the security of Canadas second wealthiest Individual. Areas of focus included travel security, safe transportation, residential security, family protection and enhanced threat monitoring.
  • Assisted RCMP with security advances and planning for one of Prime Minister Harper’s economic announcements at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

 

We are confident that Kyle's dynamic perspective and proactive approach will greatly enhance the support and resources available to our young professionals. His leadership will be instrumental in driving engagement and fostering a vibrant community within the ISRM Canada Chapter.
