Scotland Chapter Announcement & Inaugural Webinar Invitation

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the ISRM Scotland Chapter, which will serve as an integral part of the ISRM UK hub. Scotland's vibrant economy, diverse industries, and distinctive cultural heritage present a unique and multifaceted risk landscape. This dynamic environment demands innovative risk management approaches, the adoption of best practices, and the development of effective strategies to address its complexities and ensure resilience in the face of emerging challenges. The ISRM Scotland Chapter is poised to become a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration among professionals dedicated to advancing risk management in Scotland.

We are excited to introduce Charles Fryer-Stevens as the Chair of the ISRM Scotland Chapter! Proudly supported by Co-Chairs Amy Rafferty, a Risk Management Consultant, and Ian Davy, a Risk Capability Manager, both with DAS Ltd. They bring a blend of experience and innovation to the field.

Charles is currently the Risk Lead for Navy Infrastructure in the North with the Clyde Infrastructure PMO at the Ministry of Defence, where he leads the tactical, operational, and strategic risk management efforts for the North's Infrastructure Portfolio. With extensive experience in cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, platform developers, and contractors, Charles is a seasoned expert in risk management within complex and high-stakes environments.

A strategic thinker, Charles excels in crafting bespoke Target Operating Models to meet customer requirements and leads a Community of Practice for Risk Managers working on various programs and projects. He coordinates the sharing of learning from experience, ensuring it is properly documented on both an ad hoc and regular basis. Additionally, he regularly presents detailed risk reports to senior leadership, enabling informed, risk-based decision-making.

Charles is dedicated to educating stakeholders on risk best practices, drawing from standards such as ISO 31000, ISRM, and IRM, and is committed to driving excellence in risk management across Scotland.
