Thank you to everyone who attended our ISRM London Chapter Winter Networking Event last Wednesday, 27th November.
Special thanks to our host Caroline Field and the amazing hospitality of PA Consulting, and to our panellists, Matthew Clarke, Director of UK Resilience in the Cabinet Office and Bron Bullen, Business Improvement at UK Power Networks.
Given the theme of 'UK Resilience 2025: Vision and Strategy', it was great to hear from Matt on the direction of travel of UK Resilience from a government policy perspective, and from Caroline and Bron as to how they are implementing that in their own working environments.
It was interesting that the word that perhaps came up most often, both in the presentations and the Q&A discussions following that, was 'community'. It is heartening that the power of community engagement and ownership is being recognised at every level of policy development and programme implementation.
The event itself was an outstanding success from our perspective, and I hope that not only gave everyone food for thought, but also a feeling of positivity as we move into 2025.
