Edna Monzerrat Sanchez was born and raised in Dallas Texas and recently graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Security Studies. She is currently a coordinator for the non-profit organization DFW Refugee Outreach Services, helping Afghanistan refugee families settle in Dallas and helping them become independent as they learn to adjust to their new home and way of life. Her interests and curiosity have fallen into the private sector of the security industry, and she is busy expanding her knowledge, learning from others, and being part of this big global security industry with amazing professionals.
Javeria Malik is a seasoned Communications and Security Risk Management professional with around 15 years of experience advising non- profit organisations on media and communication strategies as well as security risk management policy, standards and practices. She is an experienced crisis manager, trainer, and analyst with a focus on humanitarian contexts, disasters and emergencies, and political risk management in the context of social justice activism.
Javeria is currently associated with ActionAid, an international human rights based federation, as their Global Safety & Security Advisor and is based in South Africa.
She's a member of the Board of Directors of International NGO Safety and Security Association(INSSA), Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM), Member of ASIS International and The Security Institute, UK. Javeria is a speaker on intersectional safety and security issues and regularly contributes to global discussions and research studies.
Eva Nolle is the co-founder and Director of Operations for Ceravoid (Pty) Ltd, a commercial intelligence firm based in Cape Town, South Africa. Amongst others, the company provides due diligence enquiries, background screenings, country risk assessments, market entry analysis as well as commercial and fraud investigations. With a European background but having lived and worked on the African continent for several years, Eva is well-positioned to build a bridge for businesses wanting to operate in Africa. Additionally, Eva is a partner in Hypexis, a platform specialising in geopolitical and economic analyses for frontier and emerging markets. One of Hypexis’ key focus areas is ESG compliance and how the jurisdictions covered can provide great economic opportunities, despite their (perceived) risk profile.
Drawing on her own practical experience through project work in many African countries, Eva is enabling businesses to gain a better understanding of the potential risks and opportunities when operating in Africa. She is both a Certified Protection Professionals as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
