Dr Paul O’Hare is a Senior Lecturer in Geography and Development at Manchester Metropolitan University. His primary research interest revolves around efforts to engage ‘the public’ in governance and planning decision-making processes and flood protection, and in the contribution that civil society organisations may make to policy formulation and implementation.
