We are particularly honored to announce Scott Ashworth as the Chair of the Atlanta Chapter.
Scott started his career in law enforcement, spending nearly a decade serving communities of metro Atlanta. He left full-time law enforcement as a Lieutenant over investigations with the Forest Park Police Department to begin a new path in sports security.
In 2017, he joined Atlanta United FC of the MLS to head up the organization's security efforts including the protection of a state-of-the-art 60 million dollar training center. Scott worked closely with the other experienced leaders at AMB Sports and Entertainment to mature Atlanta United's security operation into a world-class program.
Joining another skyrocketing sports brand in 2021, Scott took on the role of Head of Safety and Security for Overtime Elite. He was responsible for overseeing the creation of security programming for the new league, prioritizing protecting Overtime's players, staff, fans, facilities, and assets. Additionally, he was integral in building the company’s comprehensive Crisis Management Plan. The Overtime Elite League consists of six teams comprised of seventy top basketball prospects from around the world playing in several venues across four states in front of seventy-million followers through social media and live streaming on Amazon Prime worldwide.
