Simon Ball has been appointed as Law Enforcement Liaison for the ISRM Ireland Chapter
The ISRM Ireland Chapter is delighted to announce that Simon Ball has been appointed our new Law Enforcement Liaison. With over 30 years of dedicated policing service in Northern Ireland, Simon brings an unparalleled depth of expertise to this role. His career has seen him excel across multiple disciplines, including public safety, personnel security, information security, change management, and corporate governance.
As a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM), Simon has consistently demonstrated his commitment to advancing strategic risk practices. He also serves on the Board of the International Association For Intelligence Education IAFIE Europe Chapter and contributes to the Governance Committee for IAFIE Global.
Simon’s academic achievements complement his professional experience, holding an MSc in Police Leadership and Management and an MA in Intelligence and Security. His research interests focus on preventing targeted violence and understanding the mechanisms behind radicalisation.
In addition to his professional commitments, Simon is a dedicated volunteer and qualified Mountain Leader, having led fundraising events for Autism NI since 2009. He also works with CyberSyd as the COO, responsible for governance, risk management, and compliance, which is an anti-bullying platform to support young people, teachers, and principals dealing with bullying concerns in the UK.
