Following the recent onslaught from Covid-19 and the resurgence in calls for a #greenrecovery, Resilience First looks forward to hearing from Shirley Rodrigues, Deputy Mayor for Energy and Environment, on the GLA’s latest plans to achieving the ambitious target of London becoming a net-zero city by 2050.
During the session, we will address the opportunities and challenges that the pandemic has created for transitioning cities towards a more sustainable way of living as well as the issues of air pollution across London, delivery of the ‘Energy for Londoners’ programme (which is helping Londoners generate more low-carbon electricity), and plans to boost London’s recycling rates, all elements that contribute to making London more resilient. The webinar will be chaired by Seth Schultz, Executive Director, The Resilience Shift.
